My Profile
I always had a keen passion and deep fascination for why people do what they do and how to help them perform better. I have always gotten into deep discussions with people to understand their point of view. This led me to my first master’s degree; MBA which was followed by a CIPD accredited Master’s degree from Middlesex University London in Human Resource Development.
I’m the former talent acquisition & training Manager at two banks. Looking back, I always took pride in identifying new talent and nurturing people to work in organizations they loved. Although, over time, I realized I wanted to facilitate people’s development. Then, I came across coaching and how it could enhance people. I knew this was my calling.
For the last 12 years, I have had the privilege of being a leadership and executive coach to numerous global leaders spread over 5 continents. I have had a very diversified clientele hailing from various industries & countries including Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, India, China, South Korea and the United States of America.
Through this experience, I have come to understand various challenges that leaders face in different cultures. I have realized how crucial it is to be aware of how to lead international teams and how to encourage effective communication in a multicultural environment.
I have had a lot of experience working with leaders globally. Many leaders I have coached have been expatriates. Through working with them, I have learned some of the best ways to empower them to adapt to new cultures and excel in their new working environments.
Over the years, I have been associated with some of the world’s best-known companies that includes Fortune 500 companies, this gave me an opportunity to work with people coming from various industries such as Pharma, Finance, Aviation, Education, Construction, Government, IT and Health care services.
Following recognition of my specialization in leadership coaching, I was approved to join the Forbes Coaches Council. This is an invitation-only network that helped me connect with other business professionals across the globe. It enabled me to learn to articulate what I know and learn how to become a more effective coach at the same time.
I have gained latest certifications and accreditations to enhance the quality of my coaching. I am a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) – world’s most prestigious HR institute, a Fellow of the Association for Coaching and a Certified Business Psychologist with Association for Business Psychology UK. I am also a member of the Hogan Coaching Network, which enables me to apply specific assessment tools and cutting edge coaching to help leaders to be the best.
Sometimes I use renowned tools for my practical coaching sessions to learn more about a person’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Some tools that are very helpful in understanding personality include Hogan assessment, Saville Assessment, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Combined with my professional coaching skills, such tools help me provide client with a more insightful and professional level of coaching. Hogan’s Dark Side is one of the most well known assessments in the world to measure a leader’s derailers and risk factors.
CIPD and Professional Development
I am a leadership and executive coach with an inspiration to make a difference. Apart from working, I also love to take out the time & invest it in volunteering work. Volunteering has been helpful in my personal and professional development. It enables me to be in a position that can help those on the receiving end. I have signed up as a mentor for the CIPD mentorship program through which a mentee is assigned every now & then for mentoring.
Empowering Mothers and Young Adults
I work for the CIPD and assist other members with career advice. In return, I educate and train them to meet organizational goals. I like helping and assisting people to achieve something. It is fulfilling to see other people prosper.
Nurturing Future Leaders
I have worked with a charity called “Pregnant then Screwed” to help mothers find jobs. Many of these mothers have had a hard time finding work. I help them by giving them the support and tools they need to succeed. It is inspiring to see people overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential.
Cherie Blair Foundation for Women
I have also volunteered with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and the Agha Khan Development Network. These groups help women and create positive change. I am proud to have been part of their work.
Fostering Youth Potential
I am passionate about helping young people. I mentor young adults to help them find their strengths and set goals. These young people are the leaders of tomorrow, and I want to help them succeed.
Empathy and Feedback Skills
I help leaders working in large organizations located in various countries. Most of them struggle to provide constructive criticism to other people. Some are overly friendly while some are excessively critically. I teach them how to be more attentive to their and other people’s emotions which enables them to provide constructive and impartial feedback.
Handling Pressure and Change
I also work with leaders who have trouble accepting feedback, handling stress or adjusting to new things. These can be big problems at work. I help them become more confident and able to deal with challenging situations. I show them how to see changes as opportunities for growth.
Using Spirituality to Grow
I enjoy using ideas from spirituality in my coaching. Connecting with something deeper inside ourselves can help us make significant changes. I mix these spiritual ideas with practical steps to help leaders reach their full potential.
Discovering Your True Self
I go deep to find out what is essential to my clients. We look at their beliefs and values to understand what drives them. Then, we work together to create a plan for making the changes they want to see.
A Coaching Partnership
Every leader is different. I help create a coaching plan that fits each person’s needs and goals. I build a strong relationship with my clients based on trust and support. Together, we achieve excellent results.
